I've been using LIGHTNIN'FLAME, and testing it, and comparing it to my usual methods and products. I've used it to make around 40 campfires with family and friends and have come to like Montana Campfire's firestarter more and more since I first put it in my kit. I've used it at altitude, on windy beaches, and after rainstorms. I've used it when I've only had logs available and no real tinder or kindling in sight. I've used it when my lighter barely worked. Each time, it reliably came through with the spark needed to get a nice fire going. I've even used it in a small backpacker wood stove and it doesn't leave a residue. It works about as well as anything I've tried and has one distinct advantage over my old brand: if I want to use a little, I sprinkle out just that much from the jar. If I need more in adverse conditions, another sprinkle usually does the trick. Other products I've used are one-size-fits-all and only light the one spot you put it in. More than anything else, LIGHTNIN'FLAME is versatile. The containers that Montana Campfire uses are well made—I've never had a problem with leaking odors when the jars were in my backpack or in the car. They've never deformed in my pack. I keep one of the large jugs in my fire-log bag in the car on longer trips and it has also proven admirably crush-resistant on long, windy roads.
